Sawadogo is a defender on the Colorado Rapids U15 MLS Next team. He plays as the left center back for his club team. He was part of the US Soccer U14 Mini-Camp for the Central/South region. He stands out from the field for his stature. He is one of the tallest players on the field in every MLS Next game. Already over six-feet tall, Sawadogo is more than just a dominant aerial presence. He is very good on the ball. Clean in the pass and regularly sets up his teammates for success. He plays like a veteran – there’s a certain sophistication to his game. I’m not sure on his top end speed for the professional level, but he’s got more than enough for the elite club level. Sawadogo has been a key player for Rapids this season as they have one of the best defenses in MLS Next.
