About Kaydon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My play style is fast, smart, and high-paced, with a strong focus on defensive recovery. I work hard to track back quickly, win the ball, and disrupt the opponent’s attack. I read the game well, anticipate plays, and use my speed to close space and support both defensively and in transition. I bring energy, discipline, and a team-first mentality, consistently contributing on both sides of the ball

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong, resilient mentality and don’t let small mistakes affect my performance. Instead, I use them as motivation to improve and play even harder. I stay disciplined and hold my position well, while maintaining a high level of focus and awareness. I live the game and understand when to be serious and competitive, but I also bring positive energy. I am driven, coachable & motivated to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Washington Premier FC WPL Academy Varsity Soccer Surf EPLWA trained

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through soccer, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by communicating with teammates, staying positive, and leading by example on and off the field. I’ve learned the importance of accountability, discipline, and putting the team first. I stay composed under pressure, support my teammates, and work hard to contribute to a positive team culture. This has helped me grow.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced discouragement and doubt from others, including teachers, teammates, and coaches, which pushed me to rely on my work ethic and determination. Nothing has come easily, and I’ve had to earn every opportunity. My mom has always supported me, and staying active in my church, at the gym, and through soccer has given me strength and purpose. These challenges have made me more resilient.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that challenges me academically and athletically, where I can compete at a high level and continue to grow as a player. I want a supportive, team-oriented environment with coaches who value development, discipline, and culture. I’m looking for a school that feels like a community, where I can build strong relationships and prepare myself for success beyond soccer.
