Keira Kemmerly, the Northwestern commit struck a low left shot to the corner to even the match at 2-2. It was a solid shot with placement and power. The goalkeeper tried to reach for the shot, but it already went past her. Definitely a shot she has scored many times during practice.

There’s a lot on the line for Keira in this one: her last high school game, last high school game with her younger sister and her last chance to bring home a state title to Conestoga. The last two times the program was in the state title game – 2021 and 2023 – they watched the boys win it and settled for runner up in their final. This year they are representing the school themselves and will want to close things out with a win over their Chester County non-conference rivals. The bigger stage the better Keira seems to play so look for her to make an impact on Saturday afternoon.

Kemmerley’s heroics saved the day in regulation for PA Fusion. In the dying moments, she took tow defenders 1v1. Beating both on the right wings. A low cross into the box was then tapped home by a teammate to tie the game just before the final whistle. Unfortunate penalty loss

Conestoga’s attack goes through Kemmerley and while it only produced the one goal on the night it came from Kemmerley’s work in the final third. Her ability to win the ball in the middle of the field and spring attacks going forward is impossible to miss and a big reason why the Pioneers are in good shape for another deep run next season.
