Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Butler and her Sting Black G09 team will play against Houston opponents Challenge SC G09 and Albion Hurricanes FC G09 in the Aggieland Friendship Cup. She can play all three positions in the frontline, but is probably at her best on the wings, where her pace and direct game can make more of an impact and help the team create chances. Butler times her runs behind the backline very well and is very rarely caught in an offside position. She’s very good at finding teammates inside the penalty box with her crosses, but is also an excellent finisher herself, displaying great calm and quality in front of the goal.

Butler was part of the Sting Black team that ended the event with one win, one loss and one tie. I was on the sidelines in their opening match, an animated 5-2 loss to FC Delco, in which she scored a goal and displayed an excellent work rate up top. Butler was relentless with her movement in the final third, going wherever she needed to go to ger on the ball, and made great runs on both wings. An excellent dribbler, she also used her pace to beat defenders and displayed calm in front of the goal to finish chances.

Butler is a speedy player on the wing. The pace she brings to her side is a weapon in the attack as she stretches the defense with her quickness and fast feet. Her recovery pace is elite, which created chances for her side with her ability to stop the opposition in the counter immediately and generate opportunities for her teammates.
