About Kiera

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I excel at reading the game and breaking lines, as well as unselfish play and ball distribution. I am a vocal leader, have a high soccer IQ and vision, execute a clean first touch, and love the battle for the 50/50 ball in the middle. My big, energetic, and creative play allows me to generate scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to be a good teammate – cheering others on, celebrating wins, and giving pep talks coming off of defeats. I enjoy laughter and having fun whenever possible, but when it’s time to get to work, I’m locked in and ready to do whatever it takes to win. Family is my foundation and my greatest source of strength.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am part of the National Charity League (NCL), which allows me to volunteer with my mom and sister for local charity organizations. I am also in the National Junior Honor Society, Student Class Council, and Next Play Sports (Morgan's Message).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been team captain for my club team for the past 4 years. I also served as the team rep for the Girls Academy Soccer league for 3 years. I love being part of a team – leading by example and encouraging others. Giving back to the community feels just as good as winning a big game for me. I’m really thankful for all the chances I get to make a difference through NCL.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Nothing too significant, but my height may cause me to get overlooked by scouts, so I use that as motivation to improve my game. I've focused on building my speed, agility, and tactical awareness to outmaneuver taller players. My drive to 'play big' has earned me recognition, showing that impact comes from heart and skill, not just size.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college where I can balance my commitment to studying business with my passion for soccer. I want to be part of a school that has strong school spirit. I'm also aiming for athletic or merit scholarships and a place where I can contribute to the team early in my college career.
