Shannon is a right back on the Beadling 2008 GA team. She’s been a top performer for that team. Shannon offers a high level of attributes for many of the key markers for an outside back- good pace, terrific 1v1 defending instincts, athleticism, and skill on the ball to offer something in the attack for her side. Shannon has highlight reel moments routinely at the club level. The area for improvement for Shannon is that she tends to retreat to her position immediately after a movement – ie she makes a charging run forward on the dribble and then finds a pass, her next movement is to get back to right back. It helps the balance for her club team, but it doesn’t showcase her adaptability and contributions in other roles. Shannon’s athleticism and ability to win 1v1 duels should gain the attention of scouts.
