Kirby played left back for SLSG against Alabama FC. She is calm and composed both on the ball and in her positioning and gave SLSG width when playing forward from the back. She played off of Hannis’ cues as they were on the same side of the field quite a bit. When Hannis had possession and looked to get up the field, Scarborough would push higher as well and give Hannis an option high and wide.

Kirby scored her team’s third goal of the game when the opponent’s marking let them down a bit. She took advantage of open space, getting forward and finishing a cross when the ball ran all the way through Alabama FC’s goal mouth.
