The long-throw queen herself. A long throw in is so dangerous in high school soccer, it wreaks havoc for the opposition. The Oregon commit has 6 goals and 8 assists thus far this season which is a great return for a defensive midfielder. I believe she has an outside chance to win if her team picks up some championships.

Farmer features in a midfield group that is effective on both sides of the ball, creating a large quantity of offensive scores and chances while turning back opposing offenses with a high rate of regularity. She is the focus for De Anza Force as they go forward, and will need to be at her best for her team to succeed this weekend.

Farmer is the other part of the De Anza midfield that has been outstanding this season. She was in the Prep Soccer National Rankings update recently and continues to show her quality on the field to back up that lofty ranking. Farmer is a fluid athlete who has grown her game this season on a tactical level. There is going to be a lot of pressure on her shoulders during the playoffs to help create chances for De Anza as the engine of the midfield.

If there is a club game going on in Northern California in the 2008 age group, there is a strong chance that Farmer is playing. The midfielder played on three club teams in the past year and has looked like a stud on every one of them. She is a box-to-box midfielder with the ability to launch a throw-in over 40 yards easily (those are not necessarily related but both valuable to her scouting report). Farmer’s quality shines through when her team’s are facing off against the best in the area. She is super competitive and loves a challenge. She is probably the tallest midfielder in this age group and she uses her body well in challenges. It’s tough for players to go up against her because she has great ball control and lower body strength. Farmer is going to be a top target for nearly every college.
