Lauren is a very secure goalkeeper whose main attribute is her insistence on not parrying the ball. When she deals with any type of shot, she always looks to claim it. You see it in any sort of situation, which makes her an extremely reliable keeper. She claims crosses, dives and catches, and comes off her line to collect the ball. Whenever she can’t keep the ball close to her, she’ll look to parry it as far from danger as possible.

Steinhauser does a good job catching the ball away from her body with her hands and making a secure collection of the ball with her secure grip. She’s shown this on driven crosses as well as overhit through balls when called off her line to claim the ball. The Hammerheads goalkeeper has a really good fundamental base and been a standout in recent ECNL games.

Steinhauer and the Hammerheads earned a scoreless draw against a talented Rebels on Saturday. She was active off her line. She had the confidence to get into traffic to secure the ball on a cross. She showed good technique when playing the ball out from her feet. Steinhauer has been a standout this season from the 2027 class.
