Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I like to play an attacking style type of soccer. I like the ball to be played to space or at feet depending on the scenario. My team focuses on 1-2 touch passes with minimal dribbling unless we have space to carry. Defensive, I like to shift as needed when pressing the ball.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I like to encouraging and support my teammates. I take feedback and constructive criticism as it help with my development l. My mentality is attacking oriented. I like to play physical while also putting my team and myself in the best opportunity to score and help us win games. I am able to shake off mistakes and play till the whistle ends. I am a coachable player who likes to push myself.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in Black Student Union for my school and I am also a member of the VAPA magnet recruitment team which helps with recruiting new members to VAPA at my high school. I have received honors from the National Society of High School Scholars for maintaining high grades as well as a member of the National Scholar Athlete because of my GPA.
I have received honors for High Honor Roll.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed leadership skills because I have to show by example on the field and help being encouraging to my other teammates. I also developed teamwork because this is a team sport, you can't do this alone and you have to come together with your teammates so you can achieve common goals. I recently volunteered as a student election worker which was eye opening in many ways.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that has my major and a good soccer program that values strong dedication and commitment. I would like a location that has a good sense of community that can foster development and build relationships off and on the field. Academically, I'm looking for a program with a good balance between athletics and academics.
