About Lena

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in several clubs and activities at my school, including Peer Leadership, the Freshman Class Board, the Recycling Club, and Best Buddies. In middle school, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and I hope to join the National Honor Society in high school as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed so many leadership skills throughout my soccer journey that include pushing my team to our fullest, making sure all my teammates feel included in our soccer family, and so much more. I love working with my team and using our teamwork skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced a significant challenge. At one point, I lost confidence in myself, and it affected how I approached practices and games. I doubted my abilities and often second-guessed myself, which made it harder to do my best. Over time, I worked on rebuilding my confidence by setting small goals and reminding myself of what I could accomplish. Now I am more confident than ever!!!
