Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I'm a very aggressive, confident player. I like to win the ball out of the air, catch everything clean, and provide accurate distribution. I feel like I have strong technical skills, but my job is to keep the ball out of the net so if it comes down to it, I'll block a ball with my ear if I have to.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I feel like I bring the "extras" to the game and the team that are required for success. My coaches tell me I bring the energy, I go into beast mode, and I'm fun to watch in the goal. I think that my confidence, drive, leadership, and intelligence make me an impact player. I play to win. I want to win as a team. I'm uber competitor, but when I'm not on the field, I'm pretty laid back!
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
"Scholastic Scholars" new member, SSA 30 and over club (30 on English portion of ACT), SSA Student Ambassador, Alpha Honor Roll-10th grade, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Alpha Honor Roll-9th grade, Doves serve, Alpha Honor Roll-8th grade, SSA Silver Medal Award for academic achievement (3.5 GPA and higher) while playing multiple sports.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Every time I'm on the field, I work on leadership because it comes with my position. I see the entire field, and I work to be a positive teammate, keeping defensive players in position and aware of incoming pressure as well as communicating and pushing my teammates to keep going when the game is getting tough. I also will have contributed more than 60 hours of community service by graduation!!
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I'm very lucky to have my health and strength and the ability to play at this level, so the challenges I've faced are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. But, I've had to deal with friendship challenges at an all girls school and being too hard on myself after not performing how I wanted to. But, I can now look back and say I'm thankful for these situations that have helped me grow.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college that offers a great education and has a soccer team with a healthy, supportive environment where every player wants to compete and win at the highest level. I love cooking and eating-ha! So, a great food scene is a huge plus!
