Expert Analysis
Roshelle Gobin | Prep Soccer Scout
Yakle’s ability to play midfielder and defense was a clear showing this weekend. Seeing her play on the back line was impressive, especially with how effective she was in providing lock‑down defense. She made defensive stops and then put pressure on by racing forward, pushing up to play with midfielders or taking shots herself.
Yakle proved her versatility, her effectiveness, and a Thorn’s secret weapon in attack. Her ability to make runs and add another player forward for Portland makes her a powerhouse defensively and an overall talent.
