She is a technical player who can beat players off the dribble consistently. Her best attribute is her ability to break down the defense off the pass. She does well hiding her intention and then slipping in a teammate with a clever pass behind the defense. She’s got the playmaking quality to shine at the next level.

Martinez is a midfielder/winger on the Florida Elite 08 ECNL team. She can play in the center or out wide. She stands out from the ECNL level for the confidence she displays on the field. She will give a stare down to the opposition in the walk-out. She has the quality to back up the bravado. Martinez plays with a flair and will humble opponents with her skill. She creates chances with her passing and has the quality to finish off chance as well. She has room to grow in her play off the ball especially defensively. However, there are very few players in this class who can dribble through the legs of an opponent as often as Martinez did last season.

Martinez is a midfielder on the Florida United 08 GA team. We previously identified her as a player to watch in the 2027 class given her contributions at the 08 age group. She’s been equally as impactful this season. I’ve seen her play in a wide role for her club side. The wide midfield spot utilizes her relentless work rate and aptitude for making those full field runs. She is good on the ball and does well keeping close control of the ball while holding off defenders. She really shines in combination play.
