Vassolo’s hustle stood out throughout the match, from tracking back defensively to making determined off-the-ball runs. She fought for possession and rarely backed down from a 1v1 challenge. Additionally, her pass accuracy helped her quickly find teammates and transition the play forward. A notable aspect of her game is her ability to restart play with effective throw-ins, demonstrating both readiness and eagerness to win. Furthermore, Vassolo provides a solid foundation on the defensive line, making smart decisions on when to delay and when to step in. Her footwork and skill to turn out of pressure add another layer to her game, allowing her to break out of tight situations and maintain possession. Her ability to consistently break up the opponent’s attack was a key factor for STLDA.
