Expert Analysis
JR Eskilson | Prep Soccer Scout
Lafforthun is a midfielder on the Wilmington Hammerheads 2011/2012 ECNL team. She plays defensive midfield for her club team. She’s left footed, which is a bit of rarity in this class. The left foot, physical stature, and excellent defensive instincts suggest she could be an elite left center back in the future as well.
Lafforthun is great on the ball. She is calm on the ball and has the ability to ping a long distance pass with accuracy consistently. Lafforthun is also a weapon on set pieces with her delivery. Her ability to impact the game in a variety of ways makes her a top recruit in this class.
