Russo is the only player from Weston on the 2010 roster for the event, which is a bit of a surprise considering the quality on that team. Russo is a deserving call-up to this. He is a right back. He possesses some elite attributes for the position. Quick burst and a strong lower body. Russo is a tough player for players to get past. He plays with a ton of swagger. He likes to gamble in the transition moments of the game to create numerical advantages for his team. He relies on his pace to recover if he is wrong in his choice. There’s some room to grow as a 1v1 defender and there’s every reason to believe he will make that leap this season and really lock down the spot as one of the top outside backs in Florida in the 2010 age group.
