About Maria

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an outside back who contributes on both sides of the ball. Defensively, I stay disciplined and read the game well. Offensively, I like to push forward, drive into space, and help create goal-scoring opportunities while understanding when to stay back to maintain defensive balance.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong mentality and when I make mistakes, I try to move past them quickly and focus on the next play. On the field, I help my teammates by communicating—letting them know things they might not have seen yet, such as when they have a man on or where pressure is coming from. I always try to keep everyone organized and aware during the game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing soccer has helped me develop strong teamwork and communication skills by working closely with my teammates during games and practices. It has also taught me discipline and responsibility because I have to stay committed to training and supporting my team. Through soccer, I’ve also built leadership and perseverance by encouraging others and staying motivated even during challenging games.
