About Marisa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a flexible midfielder that can play the 6, 8, or 10. I look to play the ball forwards when I can, and I love to play through balls in between the defense. I am calm under pressure, and I will dribble when given the space. I help my team to control the midfield by communicating with them about our shape, transitions, and pressing. I work hard on both sides of the game, offense and defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a desire to learn and a work hard mentality. I train hard and focus on getting better every day. I am a positive person, and I encourage the people around me.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Before I joined De Anza Force, I was a captain for many years on my last team Walnut Creek Surf. I developed leadership skills such as learning how to bring my team together and becoming more aware of the people and situations around me.
