About Marisol

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile, two-footed defender who impacts both sides of the ball. As an attacking outside back, I create chances with overlapping runs; as a center back, I provide composed organization. I am an effective 1v1 lockdown defender who shuts down opposing forwards while consistently contributing to the build-up. My experience in U17 CONCACAF Qualifiers has sharpened my tactical awareness.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is rooted in discipline and adaptability. Competing in U17 CONCACAF Qualifiers while managing the rigor of TJHSST has forged a resilient, growth-oriented mindset. I thrive in high-pressure environments, approaching every match with the tactical focus required of an elite defender. For me, collegiate soccer is the next step in a lifelong commitment to technical and mental excellence.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was inducted in to the Junior National Honor Society for my academic achievements.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Competing for FVU and in U17 CONCACAF Qualifiers taught me leadership through adaptability. Whether attacking as an outside back or organizing as a center back, I use clear communication to keep my team composed under pressure. As a TJHSST student-athlete, I’ve developed the discipline to balance international competition with the highest academic standards.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a competitive collegiate program with a strong Sports Science degree offering. I want an environment that balances rigorous academics with high-level soccer, where I can leverage my experience with the Guatemalan U17 National Team and ECNL play to compete at the highest level.
