Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
McLean played for the LA Galaxy team that finished second in Group M with a win, a loss and a tie. Tall and athletic, he uses his physical tools extremely well to shut opponents down and stop plays. McLean stands out for his positioning and dominates in the air, intercepting long passes. He also defends very well on the ground, showing good mobility and patience to slow opponents down before making plays for the ball. The center back also has good quality in his buildup, playing clean passes out of the back.
