About Myieah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a goalkeeper who plays with confidence and composure under pressure. I focus on strong positioning and quick reactions to make saves and help my team stay organized in the back. I communicate with my defenders and try to control the pace of the game from the goal. I enjoy facing challenges and working to improve my distribution so I can help start attacks for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with a competitive mindset and strong work ethic. I like being in goal because I enjoy the responsibility of protecting the net and helping my team stay focused. I stay positive and communicate with my teammates, especially in high-pressure moments. I’m always working to improve my skills, learn from every game, and grow as both a goalkeeper and a teammate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I currently play club soccer with Texas United FC and varsity soccer at Cypress Lakes High School. Soccer is my main activity outside of school, and I spend a lot of time training and working on improving my skills as a goalkeeper. Being part of both my club and high school teams has helped me grow as a player and teammate while competing against strong competition.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing goalkeeper has helped me develop leadership and communication skills because I have to organize and support my defenders during games. I’ve learned how important teamwork and trust are on the field, and I always try to stay positive and encourage my teammates, especially during tough moments. Being in goal has also taught me responsibility, focus, and how to stay calm under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is learning the goalkeeper position while playing at the varsity level early in my high school career. As a freshman, I had to quickly adjust to the speed and level of competition. Facing a high number of shots each game pushed me to grow mentally and physically, and it helped me develop confidence, resilience, and the ability to stay focused no matter what is happening in
