Eric Friedlander | Prep Soccer Scout
A day 2 standout he continued to perform as PDA made a run into the quarterfinals losing to eventual champions New England Revolution in controversial fashion. Excluding the 90th minute PK on a foul that looked outside the box to many Collins led a PDA U-19 defense that only gave up 1 goal a game against top teams like the Revs and De Anza Force. Headed to Rutgers next season he should fit well into their possession style and has the size and athleticism to compete against Big Ten forwards.

The Rutgers commit flashed his potential to be a top tier Big Ten defender in this game. Dominant in the air defensively and on attacking set pieces Collins led the PDA backline as they won 3-1. Collins showed to be comfortable in possession finding midfielders with line breaking passes with both feet and the composure to play out of pressure with out needing to go long. On the occasion where the opponent got in behind he flashed his recovery speed to get back and slow down the attack at the edge of the 18 yard box.
