About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is to attack with energy and pace on the wing. I produce by either crossing the ball to create high-percentage chances in the box or by taking the ball directly to goal myself. I set myself apart with my high work rate on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, and I make it a priority to constantly communicate with my teammates and help organize the players around me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to stay fully engaged in the game at all times. A match is never truly won or lost until the final whistle, and there is always something to learn from an experience. You never know when you will step on the field for the last time, so work hard, have fun, and play freely. My personality is supportive yet competitive. I strive to bring out the best in both myself and my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in student government, DECA, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and National Honor Society at my high school. My leadership roles include Freshman Class Webmaster, Sophomore Class Vice President, Junior Class President-Elect, and Secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In March, I was recognized as Chemistry Student of the Month.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through athletics, student government, and other school organizations, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. My leadership roles have taught me how to motivate others, collaborate with groups, and lead by example. My involvement in National Honor Society and student government has reinforced the importance of giving back to the community and supporting others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenge has been proving that height does not define a player's ability. Overcoming assumptions based on my stature determines me to compete at a high level and maximize every opportunity. Soccer allows me to express myself through my energy, creativity, and relentless work ethic. While I may not be the biggest player on the field, I take pride in having one of the biggest presences.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with strong academics and a high level of soccer. A competitive, supportive culture is important to me because I believe it creates the best environment for growth and success. These qualities are my top priorities and I would prefer a larger undergraduate population but am open to all opportunities in collegiate soccer.
