About Parker

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m comfortable playing with both feet, which allows me to break up play, control the midfield, and distribute the ball with vision and precision. My soccer IQ and field vision are strengths that allow me to dictate tempo and connect the team across the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive, resilient, and driven by a team-first mentality. I approach challenges as opportunities to learn and improve, and I pride myself on being coachable and adaptable. Off the field, I’m supportive of teammates, and I try to lead by example through work ethic, communication, and consistency.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I founded and lead the Mental Health for Athletes Club at Pingry, which has grown to 30+ members and provides a space for open dialogue and peer support. My work in this area helped me become a finalist for the New Jersey Advocacy Award in 2024, recognizing student-athletes advancing mental health awareness. I also partnered with Sharepy, a tech company focused on mental health support.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through soccer, I’ve developed leadership and resilience. I’ve learned how to motivate teammates, communicate effectively, and take responsibility in both good and difficult moments. Founding a school club and mentoring peers has strengthened my organizational and leadership skills. My advocacy work has given me the ability to bring people together around difficult conversations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Commuting nearly two hours each way to attend Pingry has tested my discipline and time management. I’ve also faced limited playing time in high school for reasons beyond my control. Instead of letting it discourage me, I used it as motivation to improve and lead in other ways. These experiences have taught me perseverance, patience, and the importance of focusing on what I can control.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a NESCAC Division III school with strong academics and a highly competitive soccer program where I can contribute meaningfully both on the field and within the campus community. I value environments where academics and athletics are equally challenging and rewarding. I want to bring the same commitment, leadership, and advocacy I’ve shown at Pingry, PDA, and in my extracurriculars.
