Henry is a two-time all-event honoree at a Prep Soccer event. All of the coaches noted her play and suggest her as one of the top performers of the day. She is a two-way midfielder who impacts the game with winning plays all over the field. I didn’t note anything new or improvement in her game from this camp compared to November, but I did notice quite a bit of confidence in her play. She is a more assured player and that attribute shines when she knows she can take over the game. Henry is going to be an early contributor at the next level.

So Cal Bles was another squad with three shutouts and an undefeated stretch in Seattle, and Henry was a key contributor to those feats. So Cal proved they can both score as needed and defend when warranted, with Henry and her teammates playing at their highest levels into the National Finals.

Payton Henry plays as a midfielder for So Cal Blues SC G08. Henry shows to make smart decisions with the ball and good passes. She is a strong player into tackles and supports the back line well. Defensively, Henry does very well in staying with her mark and cutting passes out. She is physical when winning the ball back and uses her body well to keep it. She is clever with the ball when getting out of tight situations and connects well with her teammates. She can win in the air and has good positioning throughout a match.
