I love a kid that plays with a big fat smile on her face and that’s exactly what Walker does. Don’t let it fool you though she plays with real tenacity and seems to embrace contact defensively. Technically very sound and she scored a good goal to top it off.

Walker is one of the most versatile players in the state in this age group. Listed as a left back, midfielder, and forward on her player profile. There are traits in her game that suggest she could play any of those roles at the next level. Her skill on the ball makes her an elite asset as an outside back. Her competitiveness is evident and shines in any midfield role. She has a nose for the goal as well, which makes her a weapon in the attack.

Walker will be one to watch this season as she breaks through with her new club team. She has the tools to lead a new group to another postseason run after her previous success with Eagles.

She made the defense work by making quick cutbacks, precise passes, and clean tackles. The box-to-box player was exactly what the team needed as they took a commanding lead and never looked back. I’ve previously evaluated Presley at ECNL Phoenix in March, and her quality of play has since excelled, and she should be considered for a state ranking on the next update. Definitely a player we will be hearing more about in the next year or so.

She showed good technique when cutting off angles and shielding the ball from defenders. Presley made precise passes when pushing up on counterattacks and tracked back on defense to make clean tackles and key stops. Her technical skills, high soccer IQ, and poise under pressure is going to help her development into a top-level player. Presley was great at shutting down runners trying to test her speed on the wings. Even while playing up, she demonstrated her ability to use great instincts, play tenacious defense, and make the stops needed in critical moments. She was one of a few 8th graders to compete at a high level with 2011’s.

She is known for her elite speed and the ability to take the top off of the defense by making long vertical or diagonal runs.  Presley can also shut down wingers who try to test her speed in the channels.  Her great instincts, tenacious defense, and hard-working skills are what other scouts see as well.  Playing up has its advantages, as when she is playing at her regular age group, she clearly stands out and makes an impact on the game.  Recently, she was selected for the 3rd year in a row for the Cal South ODP team, which competed in the ODP West Regional tournament in Arizona.  Her team won it the past 2 years.  Presley is a player on the Watch List Radar, and I look forward to evaluating her at the next ECNL Phoenix in March.
