She showed good technique when cutting off angles and shielding the ball from defenders. Presley made precise passes when pushing up on counterattacks and tracked back on defense to make clean tackles and key stops. Her technical skills, high soccer IQ, and poise under pressure is going to help her development into a top-level player. Presley was great at shutting down runners trying to test her speed on the wings. Even while playing up, she demonstrated her ability to use great instincts, play tenacious defense, and make the stops needed in critical moments. She was one of a few 8th graders to compete at a high level with 2011’s.

She is known for her elite speed and the ability to take the top off of the defense by making long vertical or diagonal runs.  Presley can also shut down wingers who try to test her speed in the channels.  Her great instincts, tenacious defense, and hard-working skills are what other scouts see as well.  Playing up has its advantages, as when she is playing at her regular age group, she clearly stands out and makes an impact on the game.  Recently, she was selected for the 3rd year in a row for the Cal South ODP team, which competed in the ODP West Regional tournament in Arizona.  Her team won it the past 2 years.  Presley is a player on the Watch List Radar, and I look forward to evaluating her at the next ECNL Phoenix in March.
