Martinez is a midfielder/forward on the Real Colorado 09 Academy team. Martinez can play as an attacking midfielder, box-to-box midfielder, or as a winger who slots inside. I haven’t seen him in the winger role, but I am projecting him to fill that role if needed. He has has better attacking quality than any other midfielder in this class. He is a good finisher. He is clean on the ball and does well in tight spaces. I think he’s at his best in a more advanced role, but he has the engine to cover the whole field so it’s easy to see why he would be deployed as a No. 8. Martinez is a talented player who rarely loses possession of the ball, plays with his head up, and likes to progress the ball up the field. He is an ideal fit for Real Colorado ‘s style of play and should be a top target in this class.
