About Quinn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as very aggressive but not to where I cause excessive fouls. I am also a great distributor of the ball, I am calm under pressure and good at getting my head up to find a teammate whether I play the long ball, through ball, or pass it back. I am also very aggressive in the air and will go up for any header.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a next play mentality, meaning that if a teammate or I make a mistake I get back and try to win the ball. This also means that if we score I get back and I’m immediately thinking about my position and stepping on the kickoff. Lastly this means that if a bad call happens I move on and don’t worry about why that call was made or argue with the call.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Elected to student council two consecutive years. Preschool volunteer, assisting on Wednesday afternoons to help with writing, reading, and activities. Frequently volunteer in the church, such as Box of Joy which helps the homeless and poor have gifts for their children and many other activities. I am also a recipient of many awards for my poetry and essays in numerous categories.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed a sense of leadership from soccer in the classroom, my teachers comment on how I am a good leader in small groups and science labs. I also appreciate working as a team in soccer, volunteering, school, and clubs. I also like to help my community because my club offers a lot of service opportunities , which shows that community service is just as important to them as it is to me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've had new coaches and have had to adapt to their styles of play, practices, and formations on the field have been welcome challenges that have taught me a lot.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to go somewhere that will challenge me academically and prepare me for my professional and personal life, while giving me the opportunity to play soccer at the highest level possible.
