About Quinn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a transition midfielder who can break the line and attack , who also values possession-distribution of the ball and combination play. I take pride in both the attacking and defending aspects of the game as a box-to-box midfielder. I am also very technical and am always creating chances for myself and my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player and am a hard worker both on and off the field. I have a high understanding of the game tactically. I am serious when I need to be, but I also have a good sense of humor. I care about others and will always be there when they need me. I am kind to others, keep an open mind, and I am always looking to better myself on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In middle school I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and Key Club, which are both community service clubs. I received the Core Values Award at IMG Academy for Open Mind. In 8th grade I received the Academic Excellence for Algebra I award and the Head of School’s List (for 4.0+ GPA) for 1 st and 2 nd semester. What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I completed several community service projects through NJHS and Key Club in 7 th grade, and last year in 8 th grade in preparation for my Catholic Confirmation. Serving others helped me to learn that I really enjoy helping other people. I was the captain of my team during my U12- U14/U15, and Co Captain U16 year and take pride in being a leader on my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The COVID-19 pandemic happened when I was in 4th grade. Dealing with the shutdown of my school and activities (sports and otherwise) was difficult. We relocated to Florida during the summer of 2020 and I started playing at IMG Academy( under merit scholarship). I played 2 years up on the U14 team and was the youngest player. I played on the U14 team for 3 years, including my true U14 year.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to many different types of colleges (private or public, rural or urban), but I am definitely looking for a college that is competitive in both athletics and academics. I am a good student, and I value my work in the classroom just as much as on the field. I definitely have a goal of attending a top tier academic - and highly competitive soccer program.
