About Riley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Great awareness, focus, communication, hands, footwork, quickness, navigating of depth plus angles for shot stopping and availability to distribute. High energy with positive leadership and tactical knowledge to help position teammates. Incredibly hard working and dedicated with a love for the game and education.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Outgoing and team oriented. Thrives in pressure situations while looking for challenges and providing positivity. Loves children, animals, people and family.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I placed 1st or 2nd in my school for spelling bee 3 years in a row. I enjoy volunteering at animal shelters and with TOPSoccer. I like helping children and babies.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I work with special needs children in school and with TOPSoccer. I like leading group projects in school. I’ve been captain of soccer teams before. I’ve helped plan school functions and as a teacher assistant.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I nearly sliced off the entire tip of my finger while lifting weights 2 days before Michigan ODP training sessions that were for cuts. I went to the hospital and they patched me up. My dad and I configured a modified keeper glove/paddle for my injured hand so I could practice. I made the ODP team for my 3rd straight year while one hand was severely injured and I was able to play through it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am currently open with my major but I do love the idea of being a delivery nurse so I can help deliver and save babies.

Davis is a goalkeeper on the Michigan Tigers 2011 GA team. She also plays up with the club’s 2010 GA team at times. Davis has been impressive for her club at the start of the season. The young shot-stopper is playing with a lot of confidence. She has quick reflexes, secure hands, and always seems to be in the right spot to make the save. 

Davis’ recent games have shown that she is a top player in her position. She tracks the flight of the cross well and gets into the spot to make a play on the ball. She cuts out angles and makes the block when called upon. She has all the potential to be a game-deciding talent in this class.
