Roberts is an outside back on the Real Colorado U16 ECNL team. She plays left back for her club team. She can comfortably play either side of the formation. Roberts has a lot of strengths of her game. Her ability in 1v1 defending is probably the top trait for her the success at her position. She’s a physical player who does well when she has contact with the opposing winger. She uses her body well and can get scrappy to win possession of the ball.
Roberts was a key part of the Real Colorado National team that had a successful run in the ECNL playoffs last season. She’s been able to standout against older competition in the past.
She is confident on the ball and can break pressure. She knows how to retain possession for her side and receive the ball while under pressure. Roberts had a couple of moments against Solar where she was the key to unlocking the opposition with her passing. She isn’t the outside back to only plays it up the line, she finds her teammates all over the field.
