After making her mark offensively, Hillery shifted positions and grew into one of the strongest center backs in her class. Even now, she shows her versatility by executing multiple roles across the field. Defensively, from the moment the ball drifts near the back line, you see her pounce with confidence and demand possession. In many ways, she embodies a rare defensive‑attacking hybrid, carrying her forward instincts into a role that drives momentum from the back.
The Penn Fusion captain’s speed remains a defining piece of her game, and it’s striking how she tracks back into perfect shape as possession shifts. For that reason, she will be one to watch in North Carolina as her instincts and defensive growth shape an impactful game.

Hillery is another versatile player who can do a bit of everything. She is a center back, center mid, or forward. If speed is the calling card for success, she has tons of it. She has blistering pace and it shows up on game film. Hilley will eat up ground on the opponent in the blink of an eye. It’s fun to scout her game film to see just how much of a lead a player needs against her for a 50/50 ball.
She’s a good defender. She uses her body well and knows how to break pressure. She probably has a future at outside back as well considering her 1v1 defending skills. She’s put together some outstanding games this season at center back, which has been quite impressive. Hillery’s versatility is certainly a key asset of her game and makes her a top player in this class.
