About Sophia

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength is my ability to read the game & make quick, purposeful decisions. As a midfielder, I'm always scanning, finding space, & looking to play forward while knowing when to control tempo & keep possession. I'm technically confident under pressure, mentally resilient, & committed to doing the work to make impactful plays. I want teammates to trust me & make players around me better.

What are you working to improve right now?

I'm improving my strength, speed and soccer IQ while becoming a more vocal leader on and off the pitch. I actively seek feedback, apply coaching, and push myself to grow every day.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I'm looking for a competitive program with strong coaching, a team-first culture, and an environment that challenges me to grow as a player and a person. I want to be pushed and developed while earning a strong education that prepares me for success beyond collegiate soccer. I'm looking for the right academic, athletic, and personal fit.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

My personality is colorful, chatty, curious, and creative. I'm driven and intentional about becoming the best version of myself both off and on the pitch. I value education, embrace challenges, and genuinely care about making those around me better. I'm resilient, coachable, and want to keep learning, growing, being impactful, and adding value to my school, team, and community.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I'm interested in majors such as Business Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or international business. I want to understand how organizations grow, how markets and people influence business, and how to turn ideas into opportunities. I'm interested in a career in business leadership or entrepreneurship, potentially in sports, while remaining open to pursuing professional soccer after college.
