Mendez follows the play with real intent, using her speed to create problems for defenders. Especially when she sneaks onto the back post in the box. If you lose track of her, she’ll make you pay. No matter where her runs take her on the pitch, she makes quick, decisive choices. By the time the ball hits the back of the net, she’s often left the opposition two steps behind. What sets her apart is her comfort using both feet, giving her multiple ways to find the goal. Whether she’s arriving late in the box or driving forward from midfield, Mendez is always a threat to make something happen. Her sharp instincts and versatility make her a midfielder to know in Georgia’s Class of 2030.
