About Soraya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play out the back with calm intensity. My speed and agility keep strikers from getting past me and I love to run up when I can either shoot or cross for an assist. I’m all about communication and a coachable positive attitude.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m someone who likes to solve puzzles and therefore think strategically on the field. I love to shut down forwards and support my team. I try to not let a mistake linger. I love playing soccer and challenging myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

-Honor Roll -National Indigenous Recognition Program -National African American Recognition Program -National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program -Top 20 PSAT Score @BNHS as a Sophomore of 775 students.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I pride myself on being a servant leader. Acting in theatre productions has really taught me how to publicly speak, work as a team and always be ready to back up anyone.

What type of college are you looking for?

Academics are very important to me, as I plan on majoring in the Field of Engineering, so I would definitely like to attend a school that will challenge me on and off the field. I look forward to being part of a soccer family where everyone challenges each other, supports each other and allows me to grow as an individual.
