About Stella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile forward capable of playing across the front line and middle. Great chemistry with teammates, particularly in small spaces, which enables quick one twos that often dismantles defenses. Excels in high-pressure moments because of an acute spatial awareness and with unique combination of speed, pace, dribbling, and finishing. Exploits gaps in defense. Thrives in 1v1 situations.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

At 10, left her family and friends in Ohio to move to Dallas alone to train and play soccer. She did the same thing when she went to Carolina Ascent. She trains a solid 30 hours hours a week. Fun kid who loves to connect with teammates. Relentless work house with an unmatched work rate. Will do anything for the team!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. Awards for helping my dad pass out food and help at charitable events. USYNT prospect.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Academically and athletically, evaluations highlight her good personal relationship building skills that lead coaches to describe her as a leader on the field and a connector off of the field. She is comfortable playing for anyone and can adapt to different styles of play. Very coachable.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Moving away from family and friends at a young age developed her sense of independence. It was a struggle at first but it was the right amount of adversity to develop a solid mind set.

Stella is one of the most promising attackers in the country, easily. She already is a professional despite being so young. Her quick feet and agility make her an incredibly difficult winger to defend. She is the type of player who lifts people from their seats when she takes the ball to the defenders. No matter the number of markers around her, she’ll manage to find a way past them. The shots she pulls off are unbelievable as well. The power she manages to get on them, even in reduced spaces, is something only very few players can pull off.

There’s not a great comparison to her on the current US Women’s National Team or the recent team. She’s so technically gifted that her game resembles some of the best from Europe.
