Big time player and another huge win for the Kansas Jayhawks. Tarkka has NWSL talent. She is dominant in the air and extremely fast which is a deadly combination at the 9 position. Mix in the fact she’s an excellent finisher if she gets service she will score goals. I think she will be freshmen of they year in this conference and will be competing for player of the year in the BIG 12 towards her junior and senior seasons.

Tarkka is a forward on the Real Colorado 09 National ECNL team. She wears the captain’s armband for her club team. She plays in the center of the attack – as the focal for her side. She’s a willing presser – high work rate defensively. She can play with her back to the goal. She could improve on this aspect as well. She plays a bit small with her arms down and doesn’t use her full frame. Her footwork is excellence. A bit of refinement on her body shape would really improve her quality as a link-up option as a center forward.
