About Tyler

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am able to play quickly and distribute balls in different ways to many different players. I am able to cover the goal and get low quickly even with my height. I communicate with my team well and am able to keep my back line together. I am aggressive on crosses and 1v1s.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work hard at every training and give 100% at all times. I stay positive with my teammates and other players and I try to work hard so I improve and others improve as well

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am involved in Flag Football at my high school

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been able to develop leadership with my team, and learning how to be a good leader for multiple people, meaning I am able to know who needs what during a game.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I played a year on a team where it was not a cultural fit for me and my growth. This made me work harder and understand how to fulfill my commitment through the season. This helped me to develop my work ethic and has made me work harder to prove myself. I recently had a death in the family which has hit me pretty hard. I work harder to make him proud even if he still isn’t here.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a powerhouse D1 school, who has a great community and has multiple resources for me not just as an athlete but as a student as well.

Tyler is the type of GK that every college program desires. She is a skilled keeper who has been perfecting her craft for many years and is constantly looking for an edge on her opponents through training, drive and focus. Roberts uses her height to her advantage and judges ball flight well on set pieces. She has the speed to cover large swaths of her area and has the strength to go 1v1 in the air or on the ground with considerable success. Roberts is a great field manager and projects her voice well during matches and always seems to have the respect of her HS and Club teammates. Tyler is a work horse and will instantly make a GK room better with her in it. She is currently the top ranked uncommitted GK in her class according to Prep Soccer.
