If I were to make an educated guess I don’t think the Oakland native will be on the board for much longer. She is a tier 1 athlete who has a wand of a left foot and very versatile as she can play in multitude of different positions. Her Bay Area Surf side are a serious contender in this tournament and they will need her to perform if they are going to make a run at winning it all.

Playing at Left Back for the most part at this event Moodie played very well. Showcasing her ability to win 1 v 1 duels both offensively and defensively. She has all the physical, athletic and technical tools to go really far in this game. Her defensive footwork has improved immensely and her offensive end product is getting more consistent.

Impressive athletic profile who can play anywhere on the field and thrive. She was preferred as a winger in this showcase which is quite the change of pace from her usual center back position. She has transitioned seamlessly as she got two assists and a goal from the weekends games. You can hear the chatter about her from college coaches on the sideline whenever she makes a play. High ceiling division 1 and beyond talent.

Moodie is a fun player to watch. She has a very well-rounded game as she seems very good in every single facet. She can play as a center back, an outside back or even a forward. As a center back, she shows great ability to read attackers, to disrupt and great recover speed when it is needed. She has the skills to push up when she is a wide defender, connecting well with teammates, making smart runs and being a threat on the left. She also shows the ability to finish and be a force when playing a more advanced position.

Moodie was rock solid for Bay Area Surf against MVLA in a 1-1 draw. She dominates the game physically, she’s so strong and fast it is very difficult for attackers to get by her. Her positioning has vastly improved from when I’ve watched her play in the past as well. She can fit the ball into extremely tight windows with her excellent left foot. She’s a power 4 Division 1 scholarship player without a shadow of a doubt.

Moodie was excellent against Santa Rosa United on Saturday. Bay Area Surf won 3-0 and Moodie was big time on both ends of the field. She was a rock defensively with her well timed tackles, ability to read the other teams passes and she bullied opposition attackers. She also put the cherry on top of a team shutout with a goal.

They say the hardest position to find in soccer is a great left footed center back. Well here is one for you. Great frame at 5’9 and looks like she’s still growing. Most players who can dominate a game physically the way she does can struggle technically but she does not. Great distribution going forward, good sense of when to break lines and play it safe. I enjoyed watching her play immensely.
