Sanchez Rodriguez is a defender/midfielder on the GSA 2012 ECNL team. She is listed as a defender on her club profile and the US Soccer roster, but I’ve seen her play as a box-to-box midfielder as well. Her athletic frame and fluid running style suggest a bright future as a center back.
She has also been part of the Mexico Youth National Team. I believe she is the only current player in this Georgia class who has been part of both the US and Mexico youth national teams.
She’s a force in the tackle, has an excellent range with her passing, and plays with her head up. She’s a dominant player in the youth level and has a bright future in the game.
