Eighteen new teams join the boys and girls FAB 50s this week
It’s more of the same at the top, but other teams are starting to line up for a run at high rankings.
St. Ignatius (Ohio) boys and Noblesville (Ind.) girls remain in the No. 1 spots that they have held since the preseason rankings. Meanwhile, Pingry (N.J.) boys jump a few spots to No. 3, right behind St. Benedict’s (N.J.) following a three-win week that including a strong showing at the NXT LVL Invitational. On the girls side, Tenneessee’s preseason favorite Bearden inched a spot higher to No. 5.

The highest-debuting teams this week are John Jay-East Fishkill (N.Y.) boys and Upper Arlington (Ohio) girls. John Jay posted the surprise of the week, knocking off a previous nationally ranked team that had not lost since 2019 by a 5-1 margin. John Jay checks in at No. 24 this week. Upper Arlington girls were in the Top 25, fell out, and now returns at No. 38 thanks to a win over previously undefeated and nationally ranked Olentangy Liberty.
