Real Colorado U-17 got to the final and was powered by a strong defense. Grant Lund Grant Lund D/M Erie (CO) | 2024 State CO , a CB committed to the University of Denver, was one of the standouts. Lund was strong in the air and put out fires on the backline. He captained the side and was a vocal leader commanding the line and keeping the entire team organized.

The right center back for Real Colorado is an imposing figure on the field. He is big, strong, and not afraid to put in a tackle. Real Colorado U17 likes to build-up through the right side of the defense because Lund is good on the ball and has great vision. He can pick out the runs and hit balls over the top of the defense with accuracy. Right back Chris Carroll has been very impressive this season as well. He is a pitbull on the wing and shuts down the opposition with his toughness and competitiveness. The Real Colorado U17 team is in a stretch of three shutouts in five games in November.

Lund is a tall center back who is the leader of his side. He does not come off the field because he is so valuable. He is a competitive defender who will take on the top forward from the opposition. He makes a lot of winning plays in a game as he always seem to be in the right spots to shut down the opposition. He is a target on set pieces and scored against FC Dallas. Forward Brayden Herivel has been outstanding through the first month of the season. His pressure has been the first line of defense for Real Colorado and he has made an influence on the result in both games.
