The winter season has started in the Southeast, and the Southwest states of Arizona and California start play this week. Each week throughout December and January, we will add an additional 10 or more players to the PrepSoccer.net Winter All-America Watch List.
Here are the next 10 to start the season:
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>M/F Dempsey Brown, Lake Highland Prep (Fla.), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Brown has a team-high four assists so far this season.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>F [player_tooltip player_id="21401" first="Ryleigh" last="Holcomb"], Oviedo (Fla.), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Division I prospect has 12 goals and five assists while playing only seven matches. She missed a few high school contests to compete in an ECNL showcase.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>F [player_tooltip player_id="27317" first="Tyler" last="Isgrig"], Arlington Martin (Texas), Sr., Texas Christian</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Isgrig netted 29 goals and had 17 assists while helping Arlington Martin to a district title in 2021. She was a second-team Dallas Morning News all-metro selection in 2021.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>M [player_tooltip player_id="21313" first="Madison" last="Jones"], Lake Brantley (Fla.), Sr., Kentucky</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Kentucky signee has nine goals and three assists as Lake Brantley is off to a 5-2-1 start. The team started 4-0 with a win over perennially strong Lake Mary, but has since cooled off.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>M [player_tooltip player_id="21188" first="Jessica" last="McCullen"], Lyman (Fla.), Sr., UCF</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">McCullen has five goals and five assists as Lyman is off to a 6-3-1 start this season.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>F [player_tooltip player_id="20004" first="Natalie" last="Mitchell"], Temecula Valley (Calif.), Sr., East Carolina</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Mitchell delivered key goals to lead Temecula Valley to a first-ever Best in the West title. The speedy forward netted the lone goal in the team’s 1-0 win over Newport Harbor in the semifinals, then scored the first goal in the 2-1 championship victory over Los Alamitos.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>M [player_tooltip player_id="18935" first="Megan" last="Santa Cruz"], Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (Calif.), Jr.</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Santa Cruz has emerged as one of the top national prospects in the Class of 2023. She has helped Notre Dame to a 6-1-2 start.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>GK [player_tooltip player_id="29298" first="Aurora" last="Schuck"], Los Alamitos (Calif.), Sr., Washington State</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Schuck made two quality saves to keep the match close, yet Los Alamitos fell to Temecula Valley 2-1 in the Best in the West top flight championship match. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>GK [player_tooltip player_id="26647" first="Drew" last="Stover"], Frisco Wakeland (Texas), Sr., Wisconsin</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Stover recorded 19 shutouts and gave up only seven goals for a Wakeland team that finished as the Class 5A state runner-up in 2021. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>GK [player_tooltip player_id="20986" first="Amanda" last="Waggoner"], Oviedo (Fla.), Sr., Belmont</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Waggoner already has seven shutouts this season as Oviedo is off to a strong start.</span></p>
