It’s easy for the medium and smaller-sized high schools to get lost in the fold when discussing the top soccer talent in the area. Certainly, Northern California has a great amount of girls talents attending Division I high schools. However, there are many girls playing at DII high schools that are top players in the state, and many have committed to NCAA Division I colleges to continue their careers.

Corcoran is a UC Santa Barbara commit and the Gauchos are getting a player who is very composed on the ball and can spray the ball over the pitch with her range and her vision. She reads the game incredibly well defensively as ball-winning No. 6 or if she has to step in and play central defender, which she can do largely because of how good in the air she is.
[player_tooltip player_id="19339" first="Ella" last="Colombini"], Senior, Campolindo, Midfielder
Ella is a very skilled and technical player, with fantastic vision and the ability to read the defense. She can create for herself, create for others. She has a twin sister, Mia, on the team and the two of them play off one another in an excellent fashion. Colombini is committed to UC Irvine.

Ella’s twin sister, Colombini also is committed to UC Irvine. She and Ella have the ability to read one another and understand what the other is doing without verbal cues. A very sophisticated and talented player, Colombini is a force in the midfield.

[player_tooltip player_id="19934" first="Mia" last="Hamant"], Senior, Redwood, Keeper
Referred to as the best keeper in the North Coast Section, perhaps the best in Northern California, she is athletic and a great communicator. She just does everything well. She is great with the ball at her feet, she commands her area, handles balls in the air excellently, and just seems to always be positioned well. The technically sound keeper is heading to the University of Washington.
Jaydn Holdenried, Junior, Windsor, Striker
Holdenried is committed to the University of Washington and with her size, pace and balance she should be able to handle things in the Pac-12. She runs with the ball incredibly well and can make you miss in tight spaces. Her mobility causes a lot of problems for her opponents. She is great in the air, and a threat to finish with either foot.

Jones has just recently returned from injury, but already has six goals and four assists in limited action to give you an idea of the impact she can have. She doesn’t just push forward as she is a box-to-box midfielder with a defensive motor that does not stop. She’s great at winning the ball and when she has it at her feet, she’s very smooth and displays great vision when picking out passes or delivering service to her teammates. She’s incredibly smart, and shows that when she makes excellent, well-timed, late-charging runs to become an attacking threat.
Bri Salvetti, Redwood, Senior, Forward
Salvetti is a true, pure finisher. She already has 18 goals on the season for the Giants at the time of the publishing of this story. She has great quality from a technical standpoint, with composure in the area in the most important times. She’s also strong in the air with a good amount of goals this year coming off headers.
Katie Senn, Bishop O’Dowd, Senior, Midfielder
Senn is a force in the midfield and in more ways than one. She controls the game, operating at her own pace and controlling the pace of play. She reads the game very well, and on top of that is a very technical player. She is a smart player who is also a leader on the pitch.
[player_tooltip player_id="20043" first="Paige" last="Thompson"], Freshman, Las Lomas, Midfielder
Thompson was recently featured as she just spent a week training with the USWNT U15 team. She is a smooth player, very technically sounded and athletically gifted. She is also very calm on the ball and very mature for a freshman.
