The PrepSoccer Texas state rankings for the Boys Class of 2024 was released on Friday. There are a number of players with youth national team experience in this class, as well as a few who look to be on the professional pathway.
Austin FC academy star [player_tooltip player_id="12547" first="Micah" last="Burton"] is the No. 1 player in the class. Burton is just one of a handful of Austin FC academy players on the list.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id="16397" first="Julian" last="Eyestone"], FC Dallas

Goalkeepers like [player_tooltip player_id="16397" first="Julian" last="Eyestone"] don’t grow on trees. The first thing most scouts remark on is Eyestone’s height (six-foot-six), but he is so much more than a just a tall presence in the goal. He is quick off his line when needed, remarkably agile, and possesses excellent footwork to get set before shots. He is a total package prospect, which is why he is part of the U.S. Youth National Team.

No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id="16471" first="Luis" last="Moreno"], Houston Dynamo

Moreno is a skillful midfielder who is also part of the U.S. Youth National Team picture. He earned an invite to the recent U.S. U17 MNT trip to Argentina. He is a great passer and has the tools to be on the professional pathway. Moreno is one of two Dynamo prospects in the top five in this class.

No. 13 [player_tooltip player_id="16505" first="Mason" last="Grimm"], FC Dallas

Grimm is a player that many college coaches will circle for the 2024 class. He is a player with a high work rate. He could play in the midfield or in the defense. He could be one to watch in the future as he gets more comfortable in a center back role for FC Dallas. His long-range passing is very good for a 2024 recruit.

No. 14 [player_tooltip player_id="16059" first="Drake" last="Fournier"], Austin FC

Austin FC has quite a few players on the list for the top players from the class of 2024, which shows the strength of the young academy. Fournier is a center back for the Austin FC 05 and the captain for the team. He reads the game well as a defender. He is strong in duels as well. He will be a highly prized recruit from the 2024 class.
