One of the best 2023 keepers in the nation, he was recently named to the 2022 National ODP training camp held in Tampa, Fla. He plays club soccer for 05 Beach FC Red, which was just promoted from regional ECNL to the National League. Great at defending and protecting his goal in 1v1 situations with his fearless style. Excellent communication with his back line and is the captain and leader of his Maury high school squad. Great in the air and punching the ball away with his “the box is mine” mentality. Good size, leaping ability and is capable of making saves I have not seen from other keepers in years.
CM Hamilton Howes, Kellam, Class of 2023
Controls the center of the pitch with his physicality and pace. A versatile player who plays center attacking mid for his high school team but plays both center defensive mid and center back for his club team 04 Beach FC Red. Looks to distribute from his midfield position but is very capable of playing direct when needed. Great aerial game and seems to win everything in the air around him. Very technical with both feet and can win 1v1’s offensively and defensively. Quick to transition on changes of possession.
CB Leo Fajardo, Kellam, Class of 2023
A true stay-at-home center-back who leads his high school back line with confidence. Great pace and is hard to get in behind on. His speed allows him to play outside back/winger on his 04 VA Rush club team where he is just as comfortable. Right foot dominant but his left foot is very good as well. Outstanding in the air. 1v1 defending is top-notch and can shut down opponents in open space. It’s never easy to talk to a player after a 1-0 loss, but he had great attitude and disposition when I spoke to him.
M Diddier Martinez, Granby, Class of 2025
Just a freshman, Diddier leads his Granby team in points with four goals and two assists through seven games. Very technical on the outside and has the speed and athleticism to beat defenders wide. Possesses outstanding 1v1 attacking skills and is dangerous in the final third with his go-to-goal mentality. Great vision in reading the game around him. Plays club for VB City FC.
