There has been a learning curve for the squad as they adjust and adapt to Champions League play, as they have dealt with injuries and other commitments, but have still managed a 35-10-4 record. They have some incredible talent on the team, also have a team GPA of over 3.5 and are a group of very good young men.
Daniel Adri, Central Defender
Adri, who stood out at Acalanes High, is what you want from a center back. He has an exceptional understanding of the game and how best to manage an individual attacking player. He is a force in the back and he uses his body exceptionally well. To go along with his physical talents, he is also a great leader.
Logan Gonzales, Defensive Midfielder
Gonzales, who played at Clayton Valley High, is a classic defensive midfielder in that he brings hard work into the defensive midfield. He has a fantastic work rate to go along with great physical strength, and he is also a very skilled player who is great with distribution.
A standout for the Paul Curtis-led Acalanes team, Hill is an absolutely outstanding communicator in the back. He also refuses to be outworked on the pitch and gives maximum effort all of the time. He’s also great in 1v1 situations. He is good about getting up the pitch on the outside, but can also slide into the central defense when needed.
Zach Miller, Central Midfielder
A Las Lomas High standout, he plays the central midfield with incredible vision and the ability to distribute. His serving ability makes him a perfect center mid. However, he can play anywhere on the pitch because he has strong foot skills, and is also a very effective leader.
Will Person, Defender/Midfielder
Person was a standout at Las Lomas High and can play anywhere on the back line and can play anywhere in the midfield as well. He is versatile because of his great mind for the game. He is able to read the flow of the game and he can read an individual player just as well.
Noah Schwenger, Attacking Midfielder
A standout for the De La Salle team, Schwenger is a real threat in the midfield. He’s very quick and a very capable ball handler. Because of this, he is a very dangerous attacking player and is quite crafty. He has a strong work ethic and is a very good communicator.
Matt Winer, Keeper
Winer was a standout player for Las Lomas during his senior year. He is an outstanding keeper, and that has a lot to do with his incredibly strong communication skills. Also, he is very fearless between his posts and commands his box as top keepers often do.
