NXT LVL Day 1 Standouts
The second annual NXT LVL Invitational had a soft opening Friday night with six matches.
Northwood School (N.Y.) 1, Darlington School (Ga.) 0: Junior Happi scored early in the match and Northwood held on for a victory in the first-ever meeting between these programs. Leon Brody recorded the shutout for Northwood.
RMPUS (Canada) 1, Combine Academy (N.C.) 1: Jokubas Samsonas scored in the first half for Combine Academy and Mathieu Levesque answered for RMPUS in the second half as these rising academy programs battled to a draw.
South Kent School (Conn.) 6, Immaculate Heart Central (N.Y.) 1: Danny Istambouli scored three goals as South Kent rolled to a victory over Immaculate Heart Central. Karl Lundstrom, Will Sawin and Alejandro Fuentesal added goals for South Kent. Tristen Davis scored for IHC.
Erie Cathedral Prep (Pa.) 5, Trinity Pawling (N.Y.) 0: Noah Handzel, Andy DiSanza, Dylan Danch and Kendall Rodriguez scored goals and Cathedral Prep picked up an own goal in a convincing victory.
Northwood School U17s (N.Y.) 2, Fountain Valley (Colo.) 1: Lohkoah Paye scored the first goal and Jace Donawa netted the game winner as Northwood edged Fountain Valley. Jonathan Buxton scored for Fountain Valley.
Immaculate Heart Central U17s (N.Y.) 7, South Kent School-2 (Conn.): Daniel Kankam and Lucas Pilotto scored twice and Paolo Tropiano, Dale Foote and Aerton Bitencourt added goals as IHC rolled to a victory. Enoch Joseph and Nicolas Ochoa Espejo scored for South Kent-2.
