The second annual NXT LVL Invitational featured 11 matches on Saturday.
Erie Cathedral Prep (Pa.) 2, Shenendehowa (N.Y.) 1: Vincent Padalino scored with two minutes remaining as Cathedral Prep edged FAB 50-ranked Shenendehowa in a clash of undefeated teams. Reece Johnson scored Cathedral’s first goal and assisted the winner, giving him three assists in two matches. Ian Oehlschaeger scored for Shenendehowa.
High Mowing (N.H.) 2, Darlington Academy (Ga.) 1: Joao Guilherme Simao and Tremaine Henry scored as High Mowing surprised Darlington Academy. Will Evans scored for Darlington.
Woodstock Academy (Conn.) 0, RMPUS (Canada) 0: These evenly matched teams played to a scoreless draw.
Hill School (Pa.) 1, Phillips Exeter (N.H.) 1: Pierce Hart’s first varsity goal lifted Hill into a late draw with Phillips Exeter. The New Hampshire program took the 1-0 lead on a goal by Cam Guthrie.
Choate Rosemary Hall (Conn.) 1, Lawrenceville Academy (N.J.) 0: Nico Mangiafico scored the lone goal as Choate won this rivalry contest.
Bridgton (Maine) 4, St. Andrew’s (R.I.) 0: Camron Boumsong, Zander Haskell, Jack Lannon and Maxim Dion scored as Bridgton rolled over St. Andrew’s.
Good Counsel (Md.) 2, Hotchkiss School (Conn.) 1: Jordy Profeta and Anthony Ramirez scored the goals as Good Counsel defeated Hotchkiss. The match was 2-0 until late when Hotchkiss star Mohammed Nuhu converted a penalty kick.
Western Reserve Academy (Ohio) 2, Kimball Union Academy (N.H.) 1: Kelly Janssen scored one goal for Western Reserve and the team received an own goal in a win over Kimball Union Academy.
Combine Academy (N.C.) 4, Immaculate Heart Central U19s (N.Y.) 0: Combine cruised to a win in a match marred by a mele and five red cards that left both teams shorthanded. Nico Cordova, Marco Gonzalez, Nico Gallegos and Camilo Marillo scored for Combine.
Trinity Pawling (N.Y.) 2, Fountain Valley (Colo.) 1: Salvatore Zani and Gabe Auringer scored as Trinity Pawling upended Fountain Valley. Luis Mauricio Correa Perrejinoski scored for Fountain Valley.
Hoosac School-2 (N.Y.) 4, Immaculate Heart Central U17s (N.Y.) 3: Juan Garcia scored three goals and Daniel Kwoba added one as Hoosac won a wild contest where it had three two-goal leads only to see IHC chip away every time, but never equal. Pherel Espirit, Lucas Pilotto and Daniel Kankam scored for IHC.
